Shroppie - Local knowledge required please.
We are hoping to get away on the SU next week from Bunbury but there is this stoppage on Waterscape.
04 Jan 2010 - 19 Feb 2010
Stoppage: Brockholes Weir near to Tattenhall Associated Regional Office: North Wales & Borders Waterways
Rebuild weir crest and access to crest for maintenance Wind at Crow's Nest and above Wharton's Lock near Beeston Bridge 90
(Enquiries: 01606 723800)
Either i am going even dafter or the information is wrong. On Canal Planner bridge 90 is south of Nantwich, the closest locks are at Hack Green and i can see no mention of Crows Nest, Tattenhall or Beeston Bridge 90. We wanted to get as far down as the stoppage at Wheaton Aston so does anybody know if Brockholes Weir is Chester side of Bunbury or Nantwich side.
Edit to add.
Sorry just found out it is Chester side by putting Bunbury to Chester on Canal Planner. I will leave thread up as punishment and to show how stupid i can be on a boring Sunday afternoon.

Re: Shroppie - Local knowledge required please.
We cruised from the Shady Oak to Tattenhall today. Brockholes was completely clear.
The stoppage has been downgraded to a restriction.
Speaking to BW staff, it was always going to be passable = one dumb barge apparently.
